Case History
Questions about your current symptoms and past medical history including medication. This gives the Osteopath a better understanding of your condition and aids evaluation of the patient as a whole.
Examination
Blood pressure: Assessments of posture / movement / gait and joint mobility. Orthopaedic testing; Neurokinetic muscle testing; Neurological testing (e.g. reflexes).
Outer garments may need to be removed, shorts/vest may be worn if preferred. Chaperones/parental consent required for children under 16 years of age.
Diagnosis
The Osteopath will discuss the diagnosis and treatment plan.
Treatment
Includes joint mobilisation and manipulation, dry needling, muscle stretching/strengthening, soft tissue manipulation, ultrasound, kinesio taping and strapping, orthopedic massage, postural and rehabilitate exercises.
